Advanced Mining offers the world's widest range of equipment for rock drilling, rock excavation, processing, demolition, bulk-materials handling and equipment for surface and underground mining.

Pulleys

Sandvik offers a wide range of high-quality standard pulleys, together with a comprehensive choice of laggings. For heavy duty and especially demanding applications, we offer specially engineered pulleys, each of which is custom-built to give the best possible performance, service life and operating economy.

Compact standard light duty pulleys HP110

Sandvik pulleys for light-duty applications come in two main designs and a wide range of sizes. In drive-pulley models, the shell is fixed to the shaft by means of an extremely precise, self-centralizing locking assembly. In tail-end and bend-pulley models, the shell rotates around the shaft on quality bearings secured in deep-drawn end caps. The design gives superior stress relief and a threefold increase in load bearing capacity, compared with conventional welded pulleys.

Models Shaft diameter mm Tube diameter mm Length
Locking-element pulleys 40-60 220-400 400-1150
Dead-shaft pulleysonvght * duty 40-50 220-400 400-1150

Standard medium duty pulleys HP120

Sandvik pulleys for medium-duty come in three main designs and a wide range of sizes. Drive and tail-end pulleys are available in both welded and locking-element designs, with the shaft ends always customized. Tail-end and bend pulleys, including wing pulleys, are also available in the dead-shaft design, which gives superior stress relief and a threefold increase in load capacity, compared with conventional welded pulleys.

Models Shaft diameter mm Tube diameter mm Length
Welded pulleys 40-140 270-1000 600-2200
Locking-element pulleys 40-140 270-1000 600-2200
Dead-shaft pulleys 40-100 250-1000 600-2200

Engineered heavy-duty pulleys HP130

Sandvik engineered pulleys are custom-built and made to order for heavy-duty applications. The engineered HP130 pulleys are individually designed for every application. They are available in many configurations, from single-piece profiled turbine disc pulleys to cast T-Shaped end discs for especially demanding applications. Each HP130 series pulley is analyzed using a new program developed by Sandvik engineers combining the best conveyor pulley design principles from around the world. Sandvik has manufactured engineered pulleys with up to 2600 mm diameter and 40 tonnes in weight

Sandvik offers a full range of high-quality lagging to increase the friction coefficient between the pulley and the belt. The selection of pulley lagging material is dependent on the type of pulley as well as the application in which it will be used. The main purpose of lagging is to increase the friction between the belt and the surface of the pulley. Flexible lagging materials also help prevent material building up on the surface of the pulley, protect the shell of the pulley from wear and provide a wear surface that can be replaced economically.
