Tunneling jumbos
Sandvik tunneling jumbos are designed to drill out the face quickly, accurately and efficiently. Built on tough diesel-driven carriers, they are electro-hydraulically powered and equipped with 1-3 booms, long feeds, extremely fast hydraulic rock drills and advanced drilling control systems.
With face coverage areas from 12 - 232 sq. m (129 - 2497 sq. ft), all booms and feeds have automatic parallel holding with quick look-out auxiliaries for accurate hole placement, optimal profiling and minimal overbreak.

Tunneling jumbos, DTi series
The computer-controlled Sandvik DTi series tunneling jumbos are designed to be fast, accurate and user-friendly. They produce excavation result of the highest quality, with the lowest costs.
The series is available in five models for excavation of 12 - 232 sq.m (129 - 2497 sq. ft.) cross sections, including face drilling, bolt hole drilling, and mechanized long-hole drilling.
The DTi jumbos are equipped with an advanced control system, powerful high frequency RD525 rock drills, robust booms and advanced drill string guides. They are meant for automatic use but allow the operator to finetune the process if the rock conditions so require. They also feature FOPS-certified, spacious 3i cabins that offer ultimate usability and excellent working conditions.

The DT jumbos feature strong, high-precision universal booms and powerful high frequency RD5 series rock drills that deliver superior performance and high consumable life. They come with either hydraulic or electric control system and a FOPS-certified cabin or safety canopy.
